i wrote this a loooong time ago and had it posted on myspace…thought i would repost it here…

so i just got off the phone with my ladies a lil while ago…we had a great conversation about love, life and everything inbetween…i wanted to share with you the advice that nij’s pop’s left us with while on the call…

he told nij to share with the council that (& i’m paraphrasing) “when we’re tired of being hurt we will walk away)

i feel as if as simple as the advice is for most of us we have trouble with the walking away part…why is that? why is it so difficult for us to leave relationships that aren’t working? when is enough enough? what has to happen before you hit your limit? and once that limit is reached how do you get yourself out of the relationship???

when i speak of relationships look outside of the box…i’m not only talking about romantic relationships…i wanna hear about the platonic ones as well…i want to hear about all types of relationships…Latina magazine just did an article this month on divorcing friends…it was about removing the toxic friends from your life (it wasn’t a very good article) but the idea behind it was interesting…

vegas wrote a blog about leaving relationships but his was more concerned about abusive relationships…i’m more interested in hearing about the relationships that have reached an end but people aren’t ready to let go (for whatever reasons)…i mean i’m even interested in hearing why do you stay in these relationships if you thinl they have already run their courses…

get at me.

so i’m sitting here watching charmed and its one of the episodes where phoebe (how ironic) revisits her past life. in the middle of the a discussion on past lives leo says that the reason phoebe recognized her sisters in her past life is because she recognized their souls…he went on to say that we tend to travel in the same circle of friends, lovers and enemies in each of our lifetimes and that’s where the term soulmates come from…

i think this is an interesting idea. think about it. how many of us have ever met someone and felt an instant connection? have you ever looked into a person’s eyes and just felt at ease or on guard and not been able to explain why? if you’re a regular reader than you know i am a believer in soul mates. a firm believer that believes i have had my soul touched.

if i wasn’t connected to charmed before than i most definitely am in awe of it now for pulling something out of me that seemed to be waiting to be written. when i think of those that i encircle myself with than i know that despite being written by a group of television writers my heart holds true that i have known my best friends before.

my chosen family has found me for a reason. my twin might have been just that in a past life and my king might have really sat beside me on a throne in a past world.

how much of us is the past us? do we become better or worse in each life? i hope that it is better and that when our souls reach a sense of perfection then we are granted the pleasure and priviledge of entering God’s Kingdom.

guess holding grudges is a serious thing if you keep the same enemies over lifetimes…lol…okay, back to my current life and all i should be doing…
